SCRAP METAL & BOTTLE FUNDRAISING
​​SCRAP METAL RECYCLING
In partnership with Everclear Metal Recycling, MESS has opened up an account for volunteers or members of the general public to donate to us. Rather then receiving cash for your scrap metal or car batteries, you can tell the staff that you wish to donate it to Mission Environmental Stewardship Society. They will add it to our account and pay us out later.
HOW IT WORKS:

Rather then throwing your old metal items in the garbage, recycle them at Everclear Recycling at 7136 Durieu Street in Mission. Gather any metal items that you no longer want, and bring them to the recycling center.

They will have you drive onto a scale to weigh your recycling.

Tell the staff it is for Mission Environmental Stewardship Society.

They will add the donation to our account and send us a check later in the mail.

BOTTLE DRIVE
We are collecting empty refundable bottles & cans (pop, beer, wine, water). You can organize a bag drop-off with MESS staff or drop off your bags directly at the Return-It Bottle Depot at 7233 Park Street through their Express System. ​

Use a clear bag for your bottles & cans and go to the Return-It bottle Depot at 7233 Park Street. Please only put refundable containers in the bag and do not include any crushed cans.​

Print a label at their express station using our phone number for our account (778-548-5633). ​

The label will say our name on it and then stick it to the bag and drop off in the designated express area. ​

The bottles will later be counted by staff and the refunded money will be credited to the MESS account.​
